The Partner Development Lead is a key leadership role within Microsoft’s partner engagement strategy as part of One Commercial Partner Organization (OCP). The goal is to lead partner engagement strategy across recruitment, enablement and growth across the Microsoft Build-With lifecycle. The role will need to provide leadership to develop required solutions/practices and build partner capacity by working with the managed partner portfolio through the Microsoft Build-With lifecycle, from recruit to grow, aligned to partner segment. The Partner Development Lead will need to recruit, develop and retain a team of high performance Partner Development Managers (PDM) to manage partner engagement. The role will work across Microsoft and the Partner organization to ensure business goals are aligned to partner offerings. The seniority of the role evidences Microsoft’s deep commitment to the partner ecosystem to build a mutually beneficial business relationship by working closely with partner senior leadership. The Partner Development Lead represents Microsoft to the channel, communicates our strategy, sells our vision and brings partners along in the digital transformation journey. The outcome will be to drive long-term revenue, cloud consumption and digital transformation through a set of practices leading to workload/industry based co-sell and partner led customer acquisition

Partner Management lead

Partner Strategy: Lead the partner segment engagement strategy across the Microsoft Build-With lifecycle through a team of Partner Development Managers (PDM). Provide leadership to manage partner recruitment, partner portfolio optimization, capacity and capability to grow the business in alignment with global partner priorities and strategy. Build high impact relationships with partner senior leadership to advance partner journey to the co-sell stage.

Team Leadership: Recruit, retain and manage a world-class high-performance team that will identify existing and new partners to create a balanced portfolio aligned to business requirements, with the goal of securing business plans and Joint Marketing Agreements (JMA). Be a team leader who sets aspirational goals and drives team towards success while ensuring effective teaming and coordination between roles across teams to win business and remove blockers. Drive PDM team to manage new and existing partners based on local capacity requirements and inputs from co-sell teams to drive portfolio optimization.

Business Orchestration: Drive One Microsoft orchestration across teams (including inside sales, technical management, channel management) to secure partner commitment to Microsoft platform and services. Lead the PDM team to drive adoption of Apps, Practices and attainment of revenue and customer adds. Secure, coordinate, manage resources and programs to enable partner practice growth. Influence subsidiary/area leadership to align strategy & resources to help team achieve targets. Lead overall business/sales planning and execution to land platform adoption, solution roadmaps, and Partner to Partner connections that expand capabilities. Grow the managed partner portfolio by driving and being accountable for performance as measured by consumption, usage, and adoption. Drive and support global expansion.

Experiences Required: Who we’re looking for…

Experiences Required: Education, Key Experiences, Skills and Knowledge:

• 10+ years of experience in partner management, sales management, partner channel development, people management, business development, alliance management in the technology industry

•Extensive experience of managing people and virtual teams across functions and geographies:

oInclusive and collaborative – driving teamwork, diversity and cross-team alignment

oStrong partner relationship management and solution development skills

oAble to motivate team and manage complex people dynamics

•Strong executive presence including communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort to large and small audiences.

•Problem solving mentality leveraging internal and/or external resources, conflict resolution, and follow through with partners.

•Bachelor degree required (Sales, Marketing, Business Operations); MBA desired

We offer an annual gross salary starting from € 93,500 with a view to increase based on the qualification and experience of the candidate.
