We are recruiting for a Manager for Technology Consulting (Presales) for Oracle Alps – Cluster (Switzerland and Austria). We are looking for someone who has a passion for People and Technology and has a desire to succeed in a fast-paced Sales environment. The successful candidate will be tasked with managing a team based in Switzerland or Austria.

Key Responsibilties:

  • Manage a team of experienced Sales Consultants (Presales Consultants) covering our Technology platform (Core Database, Middleware, Iaas, PaaS, DaaS, Big Data & BI).

  • Lead a team of solution experts who work with sales teams and customer to design and propose winning solutions, to drive Oracle sales and our customers success.

  • Ensure that the Sales Consulting team is providing optimal support for the Inside Sales teams for Technology sales.

  • Work closely with local Sales Management and Business Development Management in order to contribute to sales and pipeline development.

  • Provide leadership for the Sales Consulting Team in order to ensure that KPI’s are met.

  • Conduct regular meetings with the PreSales team members to provide guidance on topics such as Opportunity support or career guidance.

  • To work with the Recruitment team and the Oracle Sales Academy teams to ensure that the team is fully staffed and trained.

Qualifications:

  • A primary degree in a Business or IT related discipline.

  • Previous experience working as a People Manager is required in a Sales or Technical environment.

  • A previous role in Sales Consulting (PreSales) would be beneficial in order to understand the business model.

  • A proven track record in a B2B sales environment, preferably in Cloud, Middleware or Database.

  • A working-knowledge of one or more of the Technology Product Suite (Core Database, Middleware or BI) would be beneficial.

  • Experience in a Cloud related Sales or PreSales position would be benficial

  • Regular over achievement of goals or targets in previous roles is expected.

  • Fluency in English and German is a must

  • An enthusiasm for the latest “Social” selling applications and networks and innovative ideas.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sales cycle.

As part of the Oracle sales team you will direct and manage pre-sales resources throughout the sales cycle. Provides technical/functional leadership to the sales team in the development and implementation of customer applications and customer products. Participates in account planning and strategy development. May publishes technical information of specific applications and/or technical articles. Works with management to define new products. Serves as the company liaison on specific technical projects with customers.

Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations is important. Knowledge of software industry relating to all aspects of ebusiness solutions. Demonstrated leadership skills. Strong presentation skills. Ability to travel as needed. BA/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.
