Communications Manager - EMEA Sales Consulting Programmes
Reports to: Head of Programmes & Strategy for EMEA Applications Sales Consulting
As part of EMEA Applications go-to-market growth in FY18, we are expanding the Sales Consulting organisation to meet the needs of the new SaaS sales processes and the accompanying growth in the number of Sales Reps this fiscal. EMEA Applications Sales Consulting is undergoing a major business transformation as the presales function evolves to meet these needs. The Sales Consulting Programmes & Strategy team supports the EMEA wide organisation of 600 sales consultants and managers with a central programmes and strategy function focused on leading this transformation with initiatives to increase the win rate and business revenue.
The main focus of this role will be to support all internal communications for the EMEA Sales Consulting Organisation. Working closely with the VP of Sales Consulting as well as the rest of the senior leadership team, the preferred candidate will establish organisational messages and keep staff informed of developments. They should be able to maintain excellent standards, champion the Sales Consulting brand and juggle multiple priorities on a day-to-day basis.
The successful candidate will be the senior point of contact on the SC communications platforms. They should be up with industry best practice and feel confident in providing communications advice at a senior level, using skills and experience to challenge and influence.
This role is for someone who is a natural self-starter, friendly and positive with the desire to achieve great things, wants to positively impact the future of Sales Consulting.
It must be someone with a high degree of vision and experience and with a track record of implementing programmes across multiple teams. This role would suit someone who has a high degree of creative flair who wants to impact our customer experience on a large scale.
Establish an internal communications strategy in conjunction with senior leadership team
Own and lead communications planning for the whole organisation of 600 Sales Consultants and managers.
Ensure organisational initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders
Plan, edit and write content for a variety of internal communications mediums
Advise on and prepare the layout of content
Storyboard or translate ideas into deliverables
Use internal social media to communicate with team
Deliver presentations at organisational events
Draft messages or scripts for VP of Sales Consulting and senior leadership team
Ensure internal communications messages are consistent across all mediums
Respond to feedback from team and adjust communications content accordingly
Provide visibility to SC managers throughout the organisation, either face to face or through regular written communication
Bring external thought leadership and translate this into tangible actions to be executed.
Contribute to building the strategy mapped to the 4 Sales Consulting themes
Own and lead specific programmes
Support the delivery of the EMEA Applications revenue targets
Contribute to other programmes as a key member of the Programmes & Strategy team.
Solid experience with digital and video as a means of communication
Experience of working with digital communication tools including HTML, CSS, online publishing, content management systems, drawing tools, editing tools and infographics
Fluency in English essential, a second language is desirable
Experience in a communications team, especially internal communication for a large organisation, is highly desirable
Experience of managing multinational programmes with complex stakeholder relationships and delivering within a matrix environment is desirable
General journalistic or marketing experience is beneficial
Understanding of Software as a Service and the impact of disruptive technology is beneficial
Experience in a sales / presales team supporting communication is beneficial
Willing to travel (up to 30% of time)

Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.
As a Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 3 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 7 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database/tools. Ability to implement the most advanced product features. Thorough knowledge of system and application design. In depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Ability to travel as needed. A/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.
