ES EMEA Power Distribution Division (PDD) Schrems Plant has an opening for a Manufacturing Engineer, located in Schrems, Austria.
The incumbent of this position is responsible for all manufacturing technology and manufacturing process related topics within the manufacturing footprint (MF) for new and existing products and processes. As project manager or team member he is also responsible for plant or PDD related projects (mainly cost out projects, process/productivity improvements, new product launch, product transitions). Further, he is resposible for the optimization of manufacturing processes and implementation of standard processes.
Supports and coordinates manufacturing technology and manufacturing processes within our footprint
Supports the definition of the operational strategy; provides and drives the manufacturing and technology roadmap by managing tools, machinery and test equipment for the manufacturing footprint
Supports during different assessments as champion role (OpA, EQS, MESH)
Project leader and team member in NPD/Cost out projects (Schrems Plant); manages the work packages for the process implementation and tracks the process execution
Supports during the startup phase of new products, relocations or implementation of new technologies
Assures together with the local manufacturing team the required production improvements
Manages or participates in standard transition projects (phase in/phase out) and cost out projects with result accountability; executes and reports project relevant cost out targets
Responsibility, authority and accountability for project scope delivery and successful execution within technical, schedule, cost and quality commitments
Responsibility for the site plans such as machine-, fire protection- and emergency exit layouts
Manages manufacturing documentation for the manufacturing footprint
Completed higher technical education (HTL) in electrical engineering or equivalent
Fluent in English and German (written and spoken form)
High technology orientated knowledge, especially in the area of responsibility (MCB - miniature circuit breaker and MCCB - molded case circuit breaker) related production technology equipment
Economic understanding of highly automation versus manual work
Good communication and presentation skills
Good analytical, organizational skills and business acumen
Interpersonal skills and the capability to lead a project team
PDD product and PROLaunch system knowledge would be an advantage
Understanding of various culture aspects within Europe (East and West)
Depending on the qualification, we offer compensation for this position according to the Austrian collective agreement of the electrical and electronics industry in the respective employment group taking into account the years of service in the respective employment group, willingness to overpay depending on the relevant professional experience and qualification.
